The Middle East

The Middle East is connected to Asia and Africa, it mainly composed of Bahrain, Iran, Iraq, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates, Yemen, Israel, Palestine, Jordan, Syria, Lebanon, etc. Among the above four largest oil-producing countries account for around 10% of global oil reserves, daily oil production reach over 220 million barrels.

In recent years, the Middle East countries are undergoing an economic transformation and in a rapid growth phase. These countries evolve a lot of infrastructure developments and projects like airports, ports, railway, hydraulic plants and equipments, electricity, new energy innovation and infrastructure and energy facilities. Doubtlessly, for enterprises related to infrastructure projects, there are lots of business opportunities. For example, Kuwait, it is a small country in the Middle East, but has proven its fifth rank of oil reserves in the world, which brought huge benefits to the oil-rich Middle East countries. According to a local media, Middle East Online, the Kuwaiti authorities will invest up to 129 billion U.S. dollars in infrastructure and energy facilities the next four years. Specific investment projects are as follows:

Oil Equipments
Kuwait Oil Company plans to invest 57 billion U.S. dollars to improve oil facilities in extraction, transport and refining equipments as to achieve a taget of 500 million barrels exploitation per day before 2020.

Kuwait National Petroleum Company has planed to invest 15 billion U.S. dollars to rebuilt and improve a new oil refining system and equipments.

Kuwait National Petroleum Company plans to privatize 40 stations which worth 10 millions of U.S. dollars.

Electricity and Hydraulic Plants and Equipments
Kuwait Electricity and Water Authority has planed to invest 150 billion U.S. dollars for the construction of new electricity and hydraulic plants and equipments in the next 5 years,

Solar Energy Equipment

Kuwait Electricity and Water Authority plans to invest 650 million U.S. dollars to build a new solar energy plant and equipments.

Mass Transit Facilities

Over 75 billion U.S. dollars will be spent on improving the airport facilities in Kuwait in the next 5 years.

Urban Construction Projects
More than 250 Infrastructure projects will be set up in Kuwait (Kuwait Mega Projects) in the next 4 years, including the construction of cities, bridges and piers, which the investment amount up 63 billion U.S. dollars.
